SouthEastern Illinois Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SEIEC) is a member-owned, not-for-profit, electric distribution Cooperative headquartered in Carrier Mills, Illinois and located in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest. Organized in 1938 for the purpose of making electricity available to rural areas, SEIEC has grown steadily and now provides service to 10 counties in southeastern Illinois serving over 24,000 accounts.
